No joke.

I absolutely loved that this book was a Hades/Persephone retelling! I thought it couldn’t be more perfect and fit with her story so wonderfully. I won’t post any spoilers so no worries, but this was one of the best sequels I’ve read. It was everything I was hoping for and more. Feyre kicked some @ss and really became a force to be reckoned with. We saw a great unexpected (though I totally expected it) side of Rhysand and met some wonderful new characters that will steal your heart. ❤

First things first, please don’t let your ships ruin a book/series for you. I have seen way too many negative things surrounding Throne of Glass and now this series and it honestly makes me so sad. This series is one my all time favorites now and it deserves so much love just for being what it is. It’s not about a perfect fairytale. Feyre is broken in this book and needs help. Tamlin is broken. Rhysand is broken. Everyone went through suffering Under the Mountain at the hands of Amarantha in ACOTAR and didn’t come out unscathed.

Which leads us to Feyre. She has some of the best character development that I have seen. She was so lost and broken suffering from PTSD from being Under the Mountain that it was heartbreaking. She was wasting away and being tormented by the events from ACOTAR. I felt so badly for her because she just needed someone to comfort her, to make her see that she will be okay, that she wasn’t alone. She learns to deal with her demons and becomes one of the strongest characters I’ve read. She is seriously now my favorite character of all time. Her powers, her strength, her loyalty and willingness to sacrifice herself for those she cares about.

Now, let’s talk about my precious baby Rhysand. I am so excited we saw way more of him than I expected. I couldn’t wait to see the Night Court and everything Rhys had to offer and let you tell you…I wasn’t disappointed. The Night Court is beautiful and I definitely wouldn’t mind belonging to their court. I don’t want to say too much about him because of spoilers but I loved him ever since ACOTAR. I was so intrigued by him and what he had to offer. I know many people didn’t like him because of everything he did to Feyre in book one, but he had his reasons. Rhys was the only one who was really fighting to help Feyre and believed in her. He stands by her side and roots for her. He shows her that she isn’t anyone’s pet or trophy and she alone makes her own decisions. He helps her. He challenges her when she needs it most. For that alone, he will always own my heart.

Plus, Feyre does the same for him. She helps him see that he is not a monster and deserves happiness just as much as everyone else. Their connection and bond is beautiful! If you weren’t already shipping them, this book will most likely change your mind. It definitely pushed me into the deep end of obsession. I admit I shipped them in book one and I haven’t looked back! No shame. They are my OTP ❤

Plus, I dare you not to swoon every time he calls Fey, “Feyre darling” 😀

ACOMAF brings many new faces that I have such a soft spot for. Mor, Amren, Cassian, and Azriel are some of the greatest new friends and family that welcome Feyre into their Inner Circle when she really needs a family. They are all unique and wonderful. Cassian is strong, Mor is fierce. Az is mysterious, Amren is intimidatingly strong. All are warriors and love each other so fiercely.

Tamlin and Lucien, on the other hand, really upset me and that will be all I say.

I really enjoyed how Sarah is weaving her story together. She brings some history into her novels that come to play in the present and it’s epic! It will be more to see more in the next coming novel!

This was fantastic and I am just going to swim around in my feels for a bit ❤
