BEST BOOK YOU’VE READ IN 2017 SO FAR
Right now I am going with WHEN DIMPLE MET RISHI by Sandhya Menon. If you haven’t read this book, please do so immediately. It is the perfect rom-com for summer reading. It’s so cute and filled with the most adorable two nerds ❤
BEST SEQUEL YOU’VE READ SO FAR IN 2017
I could not pick up any other book besides LORD OF SHADOWS by Cassandra Clare. This was one of the most amazing sequels I’ve read since ACOMAF. It is quite the roller coaster though. So be prepared for some major heart-stopping moments!

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT
I know. No one is as shocked as I. However, I think ACOMAF was so perfect that I just had too high expectations. There was so much war plotting and scheming that it just got lost for me. Rhys wasn’t the same snark High Lord that stole my heart because he just bent to Feyre’s every whim. Plus there are all those issues that SJM included surrounding the LGBT+ rep. I acknowledge the problematic material and I think it just rubbed me the wrong way even if I still somewhat enjoyed the book. But as a finale, not so much. I know that SJM is planning the spinoff books so that let the ending too open ended. But I can’t wait to read the next books! I hope one of them is about my bby Tarquin!!
BIGGEST SURPRISE
I am going with WHEN LIFE GETS IN THE WAY by Ines Vieira. I am surprised how much I fell in love with this book and Isaac and Cassie! The story really tugged at my heartstrings and made me feel so badly for Isaac! Plus, Cassie’s brother Nicky???? Ines has made me fall completely in love with one single character in less than a few pages. I don’t know how she did it, but she did. I can’t wait for his story!
If you haven’t read this book, do it!
FAVORITE NEW AUTHOR (DEBUT OR NEW TO YOU)
Definitely Adam Silvera aka the only author who has made me cry at page 1. His writing is so special. His stories are so special. He is now one of my all time favorite authors. I will read literally anything he writes from now on.

I can’t wait to read more about him and see him in his own novel! Ines is going to make me the happiest when I finally get some more Nicky ❤

I cannot say ACOMAF. I feel like I am still in a hangover over this beautiful book. I have read other books, yes, but I keep thinking about these characters and this story. It was just so wonderful and beautifully written. I loved the character development and twists SJM gave us. I am so excited we are getting more books in this wonderful series. It’s definitely become my favorite! Plus, my fae bae Rhys ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
Definitely AGOS. I have fallen for this series completely. Head over hills. The magic system, the different Londons, the amazing characters! Everything is so fantastic and just beautiful that I can never seem to want to put my book down whilst reading. If you haven’t started this series, you really need to. It’s so fantastic and the writing and world that Victoria created is breathtaking.
This was on my list of most anticipated debut novels and I regret that it is still unread. But my birthday was over the weekend and I got some B&N cash to spend now and this was the first book that I ordered! Once it arrives I am going to devour it!
The more I think about this book the more I get upset. While I loved her choice in the end because that was who I was rooting for I am still upset that this book was so short. It felt so underwhelming and I wanted a more of a BANG for a conclusion to one of my most beloved guilty pleasure reads. I really think she should have stopped writing books after The One because that had a great conclusion and this was just meh. Oh well, it was still nice to see America and Maxon together once more 😀
This series has quickly become one of my favorites. I chose this as my surprise because I didn’t know how much I was going to like it going into the books when I have seen so many mixed reviews from people I follow on GR. However, from book one, chapter one I was hooked. I marathoned the current four books quickly. I cannot wait for book 5! Let’s not forget about my bby Magnus Damora ❤ I fall more and more in love with him. Can I have Crystal Storm now?

I could say Rhysand because my love for him is so strong, but my crush on his isn’t new. I fell in love with him in ACOTAR so! I am choosing Azriel the Shadowsing (ACOMAF) and Magnus Damora. I just couldn’t choose between the two so both they go. 😉 I almost put the entire inner circle of the Night Court so I guess be thankful that I didn’t turn this whole post into ACOMAF 😉 hehehamil

I am a puddle of feels just thinking about this book. I am so happy for my ship and everything that happened. I loved this book so much and this is my favorite duology and retelling! Seriously, if you haven’t read this duology yet…WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!
