Top 5 Books I Want to Re-read

top5wed

It has been a very very long time since I’ve done a T5W so I thought I would today when I saw this week’s topic. Let’s talk about the books we want to reread! We all know we want to go back to some of our favorites. Now is the perfect time to showcase them!

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam, Thoughts on Tomes on booktube (former Gingerreadslainey). Please join the goodreads group for future topics!

Now without further ado…

t5w1123

These are just a few books that I really want to reread. Daughter of Smoke & Bone is so underrated and it’s magic is fantastic. I remember falling in love with this book from page one. As for the others, well…they reside in me and I desperately want to go back into those worlds. I have been wanting to reread November 9 since November 9th. I regret that I wasn’t able to. Maybe now that I just finished My Lady Jane I can???

What are some books you want to reread?
Have you read any of these?

thanks for reading!

until next time xxoo

Top Ten Tuesday: Authors I’m Thankful for

TTT

Hola! It’s Thanksgiving week! So this week’s Top Ten Tuesday is a very Thankful theme. Ten Authors I am thankful for (shocker, considering the title right?)

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly book meme hosted by Broke and Bookish

In no particular order, here are ten authors that I am more than thankful for and if you haven’t read them yet, please do

1. Marie Lu
marielu

Bless this beautiful woman. Marie Lu is one of my favorite authors. She wrote one of the best dystopian trilogies I have ever read and her new fantasy series is just phenomenal. Seriously, if you haven’t read The Young Elites yet, pick it up now. It’s amazeballs.

2. Colleen Hoover

colleenhooverI hope it’s obvious by now how much I just adore Colleen Hoover. I absolutely love her. She is one the best authors and only New Adult author that I can read that doesn’t give me a predictable plot. She always switches it up and throws in surprising twists. Her wit and romance speak volumes to me. God, I just love her so much and I am thankful for November 9 because it came into my life right when I needed it. I’ve already read it twice and I still can’t get enough. It’s without a doubt my favorite CoHo book.

3. Sarah J Maas

sarahjmaas

Honestly, SJM is just as beautiful as her writing. Throne of Glass and ACOTAR are two of my favorite fantasy series and opened my love for fantasy. I can’t get enough. Plus how gorgeous is she?! ❤

4. Nicholas Sparks

nicholassparks

I couldn’t make this post without mentioning Sparks. I know many don’t read his books, but like I’ve said before. He was the gate to my love of reading when I was younger. I will always thank him for that.

Side note: I couldn’t find a photo of him that wasn’t cheesy so this will have to do hehe
Plus The Longest Ride is ❤

5. Cassandra Clare

Cassandra-clare-author-photo

I mean…she is the one who created my perfect boyfriend William Herondale

6. J.K. Rowling

jkrowling

I know I am late to the party, but I have to add the Queen! Even if I hadn’t read the HP books until now, I did watch every single movie as it came out and still feel like I grew up with Harry. Now I just have a closer connection and love for the story.

But I am ashamed of myself, okay! Let’s not talk about it…Moving on.

7. Stephanie Perkins

stephperk

Stephanie for opening my love for contemporaries and giving me Etienne. I never liked reading contemporaries because they were a little boring to me, but then I read Anna and now I love them! Well…some of them.

8. Rick Riordan

rickri

For giving us Percy Jackson. Enough said.

9. Laini Taylor

lainitay

I mean…Have you read Daughter of Smoke & Bone?!

10. Stephanie Meyer

stephmey

I, in no way, am still interested in Twilight, but I do have her to thank for getting me into reading avidly and YA.

Well there you have it! Wow I just realized I listed all fantasy authors. But you know what? I love Fantasy 😀

Queen of Shadows! What an awesome coincidence! My favorite book!!

pick a book that represents a destination you would like to travel?

clockworkprincess

I have said a million times that I want to go to London!

pick a book that is your favorite color

My favorite color is purple. All shades of purple! But I really favor lavender

hp7-hallows-duddle

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. And I chose this cover because they are beautiful to look at. Some definite eye candy.

which book do you have the fondest memory of?

I am choosing this book because it was chosen for me to read by my dad. I will always remember him choosing this book because he thought I’d like it and then promising to get me the movie to watch once I finished it. I was really young and this is what got me into reading. Something I’ll always cherish.

which book did you have the most difficulty reading?

Sorry but this has to go to Gone by Michael Grant. I just couldn’t get into it. I was so bored very early on and I don’t even remember putting it down, but I did and it’s still sitting on my shelf completely unread and I don’t think I’ll ever pick it back up.

which book in your tbr pile will give you the biggest sense of achievement?

OH MY GOSH it will definitely be Outlander by Diana Gabaldon! This book is so huge and I will be so proud of myself for finishing it because I usually don’t start books this long since I get really intimidated. Outlander definitely intimidates me and the fact that the series as a whole is huge! It’s definitely a commitment. But I am pushing through! Plus my boyfriend is the best and award me the whole first season so I can watch it once I finish! So that will be a nice little accomplishment.

He also tries to urge me to read Game of Thrones but again, I am too intimidated! So I don’t know if I ever actually will attempt that one day? The show confuses me enough!

Now it’s your turn! Please feel free to ignore this tag if you have already done it or just aren’t interesting in doing so.
