Hello! Are you obsessed with Stranger Things like I am? Well that’s great because it’s time for an amazing book tag dedicated to our new obsession, Stranger Things! I just finished watching this show recently after I binged it in basically less than 24 hours because it was that addicting! If you haven’t watched it yet, you need to.

the first book in a series that left you intrigued and slightly confused

I am choosing The Star-Touched Queen because I remember in the beginning I was so confused! I had no idea what was going on half the time and the world slightly confused me. Even though I ended up really enjoying this book, I was still a little unsure of what exactly was happening while reading. I still wish we were given just a little bit more.

 

a book with a setting you would never want to live in

I am a huge fan of The Hunger Games. It is one of my favorite books ever, but I am sorry but I do not want to live in this whole! Being selected to enter the Hunger Games would definitely frighten me each year. Knowing me, I would last like 2 seconds. So nope. Don’t sign me up!

 

a book you own that is somewhat damaged, but loved to pieces

I hate to do this, but I am choosing The Hunger Games again because my copy is so worn and torn. There’s a section of pages almost falling out because I’ve read it so many times. I can’t even remember how many times I’ve read it. ❤

a trilogy you always go to whenever you need a pick-me-up

After reading ACOMAF, the Court of Thorns and Roses trilogy is now one of my favorite trilogies ever and I will definitely keep going back just so I can visit my boyfriend Rhys ❤ again and again. Every time I miss him, I go back and read some of my favorite parts that I have tabbed.

You really can’t go wrong with Rhys ❤

a book with a terrifying beast you wouldn’t want to face in a dark alley

I had a hard time choosing an answer for this one. So I decided to go with the Whitewalkers in A Song of Ice and Fire series. Those suckers creep me up and every time they show up, I start stressing out! I mean I could literally pick anyone from this series because everyone is terrifying. Even the humans! Am I right?!

 

a book with a villain who is both manipulative and dedicated

Jonathon Morgenstern takes the cake for this one! I think he is my favorite villain! He was an even better villain than Valentine, in my opinion. I loved how manipulative he was, the lengths he went to get his twisted goals accomplished.

 

 

 

 

a book you didn’t expect to love

Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes, for sure. I had so many doubts that I would actually enjoy this series because so many people had mixed feelings. I thought the hype would have lessened by interest, but it was so fantastic! Yes, it feels a bit like Game of Thrones but for YA but that doesn’t take away it’s greatness. There are so many interesting characters and story lines that you can’t help, but get invested. I can’t wait for the next couple of books! I need more Magnus Damora!

a book with a setting that’s just a little bit strange

I have to agree with Nisha’s answer. Henrietta from The Raven Cycle just bleeds “strange” that is so intriguing. Plus, ley lines, psychics, and hello the Raven boys!

I visted the Outlander Artistry Exhibit!

Hi guys! Today I thought I would share my experience visiting Outlander Artistry at the Paley Center in Hollywood! If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram have you probably already seen these photos but I thought it would be cool to share here too since I have so many photos!

So last week was the last day that this exhibit would be running the Outlander exhibit and I just knew I had to see it before it left! I am so glad we decided to go because this was one the best days I have had all summer. Seeing all the amazing costumes that were designed and made all for the TV show was amazing! I can’t believe how many costumes and shoes, hats, gloves, everything is handmade for the show! It’s truly amazing.

Anyway, everything looked so beautiful and you can take a look at some of my photos below.

Your guilty pleasure book you will always fangirl?

When I think of “guilty pleasure” I think of something I shouldn’t like but I do and that has to be…

I don’t think this book has the best writing or plot, but my goodness was it addicting to read!

What is the first book you ever fangirled over?

Sadly, it was Twilight. My friend told me to read Twilight and a couple days later we were both fangirling. Like pretty much everyone in the YA community, Twilight was my gateway book.

What is your favorite TV show you fangirl over?

SING ME A SONG OF A LASS THAT WAS GONE, SAY COULD THAT LASS BE I? ❤

OUTLANDER!!!! Are you shocked? I’m not. This is my absolute favorite show right now! I could talk about it for hours.

Oh I have another to mention!

ARROW! I am so in love with this show and Stephen Amell is bae. I fangirl hardcore over this show every week and I HAVE NO ONE TO TALK ABOUT IT TO! Thank god for a few Twitter friends or I’d be lost swimming around in my own feels.

How far have you fangirled over something? (ex. lined up for something, internet stalked, wrote a fan letter etc)

Uhh…I stood in line forever when the line for The Hunger Games premiere. I remember I had one last final that day and my boyfriend came to pick me up from school and we went straight to the theater to wait in line. Then I cried like a baby once the credits started to roll. Oh god, the memories 😥

Are you alone in your fangirling, or do you have friends that share your obsession? (Fellow book bloggers do not count HAHA)

I am most definitely alone 😥 I have a few friends that watch the same TV shows as I do so I can always talk to them about shows, but when it comes to books I am a lonely sheep. But it’s okay because I have my boyfriend that I can ramble to for hours on end and he has no clue what I am talking about 😀  Well until I convince him to start reading a book series and then I can’t talk about it because of spoilers

November is the month when we’re reminded of how much we have to be thankful for. Choose one book you’re grateful for having read and give a shout-out to the person who recommended it!

I can go with my usual answer and say The Hunger Games or Throne of Glass but I’m going to switch it up today. I am thankful for Outlander because I am so proud I am reading it. It’s the longest book I have ever read and it’s so amazing. Also the show is absolutely fantastic ❤ So thanks to my awesome friend, Olivia, for telling me to read it!

December is a time when friends and families come together and celebrate. Name one book you would give as a gift.

I made the resolution to read 100 books and for the first time ever, I DID IT!!! I actually finished a couple months ago.

While I had fun reading this, I just don’t see the hype. To me, it was just good not amazing.

Honestly, I didn’t think I would like this series because I’m not a huge fan of sci-fi and since this was a Cinderella retelling with cyborgs? Immediately I thought “ew” but I picked it up because it was so many people’s favorite series. I am so glad I did pick it up because now it is one of my favorites as well!

June is the time to take a break. Name a book or genre that you like to read when you just need to check out.

July is the time to celebrate independence. Name a book that made you see fireworks (figuratively. Please don’t light any books on fire.)

This book was so cute and just filled me so many feels!

Also since my birthday is in July, my favorite book I’ve ever been given for my birthday was Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari. I chose this because  I usually always get giftcards for my birthday but when my mom bought me this because she actually remembered I love Aziz, it’s just too cute 😀

August is the hottest month of the year. Pick an up-and-coming author that you think will be the next hottest thing.

Sorry. I hear “hot” and “author” and immediately think Pierce Brown ❤ 😀
But I also really enjoyed Red Rising so…

September is time for students to go back to school! Pick a book you read for school that you actually enjoyed.

October is time to celebrate Halloween! Pick one character that you would love to dress up as for Halloween.

Yeah I love all these girls so much and I’d love to be either. I would pick Celaena but she’s blonde and I am not 😦

#ConqueringKingdoms Book Tag!

So I just saw Jessethereader do this tag on his channel and then Perfectioninbooks tagged me to do the very same tag! What an awesome coincidence! 🙂 So thanks for tagging me!

Confession time: I have never actually read Falling Kingdoms, but since it’s very high on my TBR and these questions are based off the series, I thought why not get in the spirit and do it anyway?

In Mytica, there are constant betrayals and you can’t trust anyone! Which book character would you trust to be your sidetrick on this adventure?

I am going to go with Kenji from the Shatter Me trilogy. I just love him to pieces and he is such a great friend to have around. He can make you laugh but also isn’t afraid to set up and protect you if need be. I absolutely adore Kenji.

You will come across many who want you dead in Mytica, so you need to be ready to fight. What kind of warrior are you?

Honestly, I am a wimpy warrior. I would not last at all. Not even joking 😦 LOL Maybe I need Celaena to train me or something…

What fantasy world would you like to conquer?

Adarlan! I just want to overthrow the king because he’s the worst. But then I can rule with Dorian and we can get married and be happy 5ever and ever 😀 amirite? ❤

Which fictional character would you choose to rule by your side?

Wow I feel like I just answered this unintentionally. But..DORIAN! DORIAN ALWAYS!

Who would you throw into the dungeon?

Who wouldn’t I throw in a dungeon is more like it!? But I am going with Black Jack Randall from the Outlander series, because he can die like right now would be nice, and Levana from The Lunar Chronicles. Enough said.

Hmm…this is tough. Oh I know! MAVEN!!! From Red Queen, because…reasons. If you’ve read Red Queen you know exactly why. He betrayed my trust so he’s dead to me!

What elemental magic would you choose to wield and why? (Fire,Air,Water,Earth)

Water. I am a water sign and I think it would be awesome if I could control water, freeze it and throw it at my enermies,  and just make it rain whenever I wanted it to 🙂
