Crooked Kingdom Cover Reveal!

Leigh Bardugo revealed the cover for the sequel to Six of Crows, Crooked Kingdom! And when she tweeted that this was the most beautiful cover, she did not lie! Holy guacamole! This is the most BEAUTIFUL cover I have ever seen!

Are you ready?

Here we go…

Crooked Kingdom is one of my most anticipated reads for 2016 after Six of Crows was my favorite book of 2015! This series is seriously one of the best and I can’t get enough of it.

Bardugo also did an interview where she talks all about the series and more. You can check it out in the link above.

Kaz Brekker and his crew have just pulled off a heist so daring even they didn’t think they’d survive. But instead of divvying up a fat reward, they’re right back to fighting for their lives. Double-crossed and left crippled by the kidnapping of a valuable team member, the crew is low on resources, allies, and hope. As powerful forces from around the world descend on Ketterdam to root out the secrets of the dangerous drug known as jurda parem, old rivals and new enemies emerge to challenge Kaz’s cunning and test the team’s fragile loyalties. A war will be waged on the city’s dark and twisting streets―a battle for revenge and redemption that will decide the fate of magic in the Grisha world.

Crooked Kingdom releases September 22 and I will be counting down the days until it’s in my hands!

What do you think?! I can’t stop staring at it!!

Until next time,

#VillainSquad Tag!

FullSizeRender (10)

The lovely Aldii from Perfection In Books tagged me in this awesome tag! Once I read her post I knew I had to do it as well because I hadn’t seen it before! So again, thanks for tagging me Aldii!

Create your own villain squad!

Think of your own villain identity and power!
The Leader – Pick a villain to lead the squad.
The Killer Smile – Pick a villain who’s just extremely attractive
The Loose Canon – Pick a villain that marches to the beat of their own drum
The Unhinged One – Pick a villain that isn’t playing with a full deck.
The Redeemer – Pick a villain that’s on a path of redemption/would play both sides
The Evil One – Pick a villain that is just bad to the bone.
The Once-Was-Good – Pick a villain that didn’t originally start out as a villain.

1-Think of your own villain identity and power!

Okay, if I were a villain I’d like to control shadows and the dark! Or maybe shapeshift into something awesome. Kind of like Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty.

2-The Leader – Pick a villain to lead the squad.

Valentine Morgenstern from The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. He gives me the creeps and is obviously the perfect leader for the baddies.

3-The Killer Smile – Pick a villain who’s just extremely attractive.

The Darkling. From The Grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo. Hands down. Sorry, I had a thing for The Darkling. He made bad look so good.

4-The Loose Canon – Pick a villain that marches to the beat of their own drum

Jonathan Morgenstern from The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. He definitely went off on his own and did his own thing.

5- The Unhinged One – Pick a villain that isn’t playing with a full deck.

Joffrey. From A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin. I haven’t read the books though, but I watch the show with my boyfriend, who has read the books. All I know is that he was crazy and childish, definitely not playing with a whole deck.

6- The Redeemer – Pick a villain that’s on a path of redemption/would play both sides

Aaron Warner. From the Shatter Me trilogy by Tahereh Mafi. *sigh* Oh Warner. I love this man.

7-The Evil One – Pick a villain that is just bad to the bone.

Queen Levana. From The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. Oh god she’s terrible.

8-The Once-Was-Good – Pick a villain that didn’t originally start out as a villain.

I can’t think of anyone else for this question so I am going to have to use Aldii’s answer. And like her…I am not going to name any names, but if you read this you’ll know who I am talking about.

Now it’s your turn! create your own squad:

Raven of Dreamy Addictions

Poulami of Daydreaming Books

Stephanie of Your Daughters Bookshelf

Anna of My Bookish Dream

Shikha and Leah of Book Baristas

Trisha Ann of The Bookgasm

This was a lot of fun! Who doesn’t love talking about all the baddies in our lives?

If you have already done this tag or don’t want to, go ahead and ignore. Or if you want to do it then I TAG YOU!

  • My favorite princess is Belle. Beauty and the Beast is my all-time favorite Disney movie! I don’t think I can watch the movie without singing along. I just feel like I relate to Belle on so many levels and she was such an inspiration to me while growing up
  • Harley Quinn is my favorite comic book character. She is ridiculously adorable and funny. She is a riot to read. I can’t wait to see her portrayed in the new movie,Suicide Squad.
  • My favorite boy band was the Backstreet Boys. I swore I was going to marry Nick Carter hehe. I still like to listen to them from time to time just to feel nostalgic.
  • I was in show choir in middle school and high school. Watching Glee always reminds me of all the fun times I had with my friends performing and competing. Though it was nothing compared to what was on the show.
  • I am in love with fruit. My favorite fruits are watemelon and bananas! However, I am slightly allergic to bananas, but it doesn’t stop me from eating them!
  • I love listening to 80s music!
  • I don’t really like sports; however, I do enjoy going to baseball games. My favorite baseball team is the Angels thanks to my grandpa. The Angels were always his favorite team and I guess that passed over to me as well.

I was also nominated for the Encouraging Thunder Award by Giselle @ Hardwork Boulevard! THANK YOU SO MUCH GISELLE!

encouraging-thunder (1)I started blogging almost a year ago over at blogger, but I didn’t really get into it until I joined wordpress. I am able to interact with a lot more people over here and I love it. I wanted to start blogging as a way to give me a hobby. I felt like I was annoying some of my person followers with all my posts about books so I joined bookstagram, which was the best decision I’ve ever made. Soon I decided to take it a step further and start a blog as an outlet to rant more about my books. Not a very interesting story, I know. But I’m just a shy girl who loves to read books and obsess over them so here I am!

-Now I Tag-

Samantha @ Bookish Library

Bianca @ The Ultimate Fangirl

Jeanette @ Myriad Inklings

Bree @ The Literary Hellion

Erika @ Erika in Bookventureland
