synopsis2

At twenty-two years old, Sydney has a great life: She’s in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers Hunter’s cheating on her–and she is left trying to decide what to do next.

Sydney becomes captivated by Ridge, her mysterious neighbor. She can’t take her eyes off him or stop listening to the passionate way he plays his guitar every evening out on his balcony. And there’s something about Sydney that Ridge can’t ignore, either. When their inevitable encounter happens, they soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one…

review

Maybe Someday is one of the first Colleen Hoover books I have read. I was completely blown away by the storytelling this book. I thought the inclusion of a soundtrack with original songs that were written into the book was so unique and more heartfelt. It made the reading experience more enjoyable. I recommend listening while you read because you will definitely have all the feels. ❤

Maybe Someday is such an angst-y book. Our main characters Sydney and Ridge have a growing attraction that just intensifies while they write beautiful, wonderful music together. Though it is wrong and totally messed up for them to be attracted to each other because Ridge has a girlfriend, they cannot help it. Nor could I help but root for them to get together. I loved their connection and their struggle with their growing attraction. They both had such a hard time fighting their feelings for each other. Although I really wish Ridge wouldn’t have chose to cheat.

I really admired Sydney in this book. She isn’t my favorite CoHo female character, but I admire her spirit. She doesn’t let people walk all over her. She stands up for herself and gives herself time to grieve. I find her heartbreak believable. She questions why she is attracted to Ridge and fights her feelings because she knows she’s not ready to have feelings for someone else right after she just got out of a relationship. She wants to be on her own. Be dependent.

Also, Ridge is such a sweetheart. I love Ridge. Take out the fact that he cheated, I’d say he’s nearly perfect. Plus, he’s wicked talented and who can resist?

What I really enjoyed were the side characters as well. Warren and Bridgette are so interesting to read. I am so glad they get their own novella so you can get a closer look into their relationship. If you haven’t read Maybe Not, you really should. (Although, you should after you read this book if you haven’t already!) Warren offers a great comic relief with his little pranks and ego. Everyone living in that apartment got along so splendidly and had such a great relationship with each other. It makes me wish they were my best friends.

Overall, this book gives all the feels.
Listen to the sountrack.
Fall in love with Sydney and Ridge.

I love Maybe Someday! This was the first CoHo I ever read and I was hooked on her stuff ever since. Ridge just broke my heart over and over. This makes me really want to reread it and listen to the soundtrack because I didn’t do that the first time. Great review Dee 🙂

It’s been way too long since I last reread this book and now all I want to do is reread it. If only I didn’t have review books to make my way through at the moment haha. This was one of the first CoHo books I read as well and while I definitely didn’t agree with the cheating aspect I adored the characters so much. Especially Ridge. Out of all of the male main characters in her books he will always be my favorite. Great review!! 😊♥
