Stranger Things Book Tag

strangerthings-booktag

Hello! Are you obsessed with Stranger Things like I am? Well that’s great because it’s time for an amazing book tag dedicated to our new obsession, Stranger Things! I just finished watching this show recently after I binged it in basically less than 24 hours because it was that addicting! If you haven’t watched it yet, you need to.

This tag was created by A Running Commentary, thank you and Flavia the Bibliophile for tagging me!

thevanishingof-willbyers

the first book in a series that left you intrigued and slightly confused

startouchedI am choosing The Star-Touched Queen because I remember in the beginning I was so confused! I had no idea what was going on half the time and the world slightly confused me. Even though I ended up really enjoying this book, I was still a little unsure of what exactly was happening while reading. I still wish we were given just a little bit more.

theupside-down

a book with a setting you would never want to live in

Ihungergames am a huge fan of The Hunger Games. It is one of my favorite books ever, but I am sorry but I do not want to live in this whole! Being selected to enter the Hunger Games would definitely frighten me each year. Knowing me, I would last like 2 seconds. So nope. Don’t sign me up!

eleven-011

a book you own that is somewhat damaged, but loved to pieces

I hate to do this, but I am choosing The Hunger Games again because my copy is so worn and torn. There’s a section of pages almost falling out because I’ve read it so many times. I can’t even remember how many times I’ve read it. ❤

mikelukas-anddustin

a trilogy you always go to whenever you need a pick-me-up

ACOMAFAfter reading ACOMAF, the Court of Thorns and Roses trilogy is now one of my favorite trilogies ever and I will definitely keep going back just so I can visit my boyfriend Rhys ❤ again and again. Every time I miss him, I go back and read some of my favorite parts that I have tabbed.

You really can’t go wrong with Rhys ❤

the-demogorgon

a book with a terrifying beast you wouldn’t want to face in a dark alley

asosI had a hard time choosing an answer for this one. So I decided to go with the Whitewalkers in A Song of Ice and Fire series. Those suckers creep me up and every time they show up, I start stressing out! I mean I could literally pick anyone from this series because everyone is terrifying. Even the humans! Am I right?!

dr-brenner

a book with a villain who is both manipulative and dedicated

sebmorJonathon Morgenstern takes the cake for this one! I think he is my favorite villain! He was an even better villain than Valentine, in my opinion. I loved how manipulative he was, the lengths he went to get his twisted goals accomplished.

nancy-wheeler

a book you didn’t expect to love

fallingkingdomsFalling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes, for sure. I had so many doubts that I would actually enjoy this series because so many people had mixed feelings. I thought the hype would have lessened by interest, but it was so fantastic! Yes, it feels a bit like Game of Thrones but for YA but that doesn’t take away it’s greatness. There are so many interesting characters and story lines that you can’t help, but get invested. I can’t wait for the next couple of books! I need more Magnus Damora!

hawkins-indiana

a book with a setting that’s just a little bit strange

theravenkingI have to agree with Nisha’s answer. Henrietta from The Raven Cycle just bleeds “strange” that is so intriguing. Plus, ley lines, psychics, and hello the Raven boys!

Now it’s your turn! (if you want)

Olivia – Books & Coffee

Cassidy – The Little Book Cottage

Kat – Life and Other Disasters

xxoo! Thanks for reading! Now go watch stranger things, if you haven’t already!

until next time,
Dee

HAHA! that ending was definitely a tease, what’s worse is that I didn’t even know the series was only 8 episodes when I started the 8th episode -_- lol. I miss Henriette & the ladies at 300 Foxway 😦

Lol poor Jonathan got a camera for all his combined efforts in monster slaying smh. I can’t take Steve seriously with that blow out lol. Yea, it took some months after I read TRK to realize it wasn’t all that lol. I am interested in the Ronan spin off she’s drafted up for her editor though 😍

I know! After all of that all he gets is a camera?! He deserves the girl!
I can’t take Steve seriously either. I just kept laughing at him.
Yep same here! I finished the book and was like “womp womp” I’m disappointed BUT! I would love the Ronan trilogy. I LOVE RONAN SO MUCH! He’s honestly what got me interest in the series to begin with haha 😂😍😍😍😍

Lol I still have faith that Johnny boy can get the girl, Steve may just die a tragic death in the next season 😂😂😂 Ronan & Noah made the Raven Boys much more interesting. That cast of characters will remain with me for a very long time. I was very surprised to have liked this series as much as I did because I did NOT enjoy her Shiver series not one bit 😒lol

So do I! I’m praying they get together because that ship just might drive me insane haha 🙈
Aww sweet little Noah! He’s so precious! I agree with you 100%! I couldn’t stand her Shiver books and I only skimmed the last book because I hated it so much haha. I was so hesitant to read TRC because I don’t like really like her writing style. But I loved the plot so much that I overlooked the writing style

Agreed, her writing is on the peculiar side but I’m happy I found TRC to be more on the beautifully peculiar lol. Let’s just hope she keeps that streak going. I haven’t read Scorpion Races yet but I’m warming up to the idea😂
