Wow I can’t believe it is already June and SUMMER TIME. Ugh I hate the summer and I already know I am going to be miserable. 😦
Well May was a pretty good read month for me. I read some pretty amazing books this month and suffered a bit of a book hangover. How I managed to keep pushing through books, I have no idea but at least I avoided a little reading slump!

The Raven King | 3 stars
I didn’t really like this as much as I thought I would. I think the hyped killed this series for me and even though I absolutely love the characters, I just found this series okay. As a finale, this book was lacking, in my opinion. I am pretty disappointed.
A Thousand Pieces of You |4 stars
I loved this book! I thought it was so much fun and cute to read. I am itching to pick up the sequel. This book was a pleasant surprise and I didn’t expect to love it as much as I did, but oh I loved it!
A Darker Shade of Magic | 4 stars
I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH! I am in love with Kell and Prince Rhy is my precious little cupcake! The magic, the different Londons, oh my gosh so much fun!
The Unexpected Everything | 4 stars
So much fun. This book made me giggle and swoon and it’s rainbows and cupcakes.
A Clash of Kings | 4 stars
So long. So exhausting, but still so good. I think I liked aGoT a little bit more, but I still enjoyed it. I am really loving these audiobooks because Roy Dotrice is just amazing.
A Court of Mist and Fury | 10/5 stars ALL THE STARS
Seriously this is my favorite book of 2016 and it has just set a ridiculous high bar for books to come! SO MUCH RHYS SO MUCH FEYSAND OMG MY HEART IS SWIMMING IN FEELS. You guys seriously need to read this book like yesterday!

Royal Bond & Royal Obsession by Megan Maldonado | 3 stars ea
These books were fun. I kind of wanted a little bit more from each book but I definitely loved Royal Bond more than Obsession. Thank you to the author for being king and sending these my way.

The Crown | 3 stars
Bleh. I am now disappointed. It was way too short for the last book in the series. Everything I wanted to happen happened so I was happy about that, but I just wish it was longer. The more I think about it the more mad I get. The Selection is such a guilty pleasure series for me and even if they aren’t the best of books, I have a ball reading them. I am just happy my choice won! ❤
A Gathering of Shadows | 4 stars
Sigh. The most cruel cliffhanger I have read so far this year. Totally thought my book must have been missing pages because that was so abrupt and hmph! Now I can be in pain until February 😥

Oh my goodness, ACOMAF is my favorite thing ever and ADSOM was fantastic! I was afraid it was hyped too much and I wouldn’t enjoy it as much as everyone did, but it lived up to the hype. Schwab really is a great writer (:

I loved ADSOM and AGOS too. I liked AGOS more because of Lila! She is amazing. I havent read Court of mist and fury yet. I should read the first book first.

I’m reading ACOMAF at the moment and I feel exactly the same way. I wasn’t sure about Rhys when I read ACOTAR, but now I’m OBSESSED with him hahaha. I’m about 400 pages into the book, and I don’t want it to end 😥

It seems everyone is feeling that way after reading ACOMAF. But I loved him from ACOTAR 😊 just because he was the only one doing something to help Feyre!
I feel you, I’m still mourning the end and having to wait a year for the next one 😢

That’s so true actually – Tamlin was pretty bloody useless towards the end of the book haha – he didn’t do ANYTHING to try and help her. A year is way too long 😦 I’ll have to re-read them both in between!
